Brief
The brief of the studio was to design a new Library for the City of Melbourne. The site is Enterprize Park, located on the North bank of the Yarra River. The site is a key location within Melbourne’s Greenline project and thus we had to critically analyse the nature of public space and the demands of contemporary architectural practices.

Project
People go to a library for different reasons: to feed their interest, to study, or to meet up with friends. No matter what the reason may be, there is always a purpose of going to a library - and to me, that main purpose is always learning. Perpus recognizes the need for different spaces for people of different age groups to learn. As programmes of the library cater to people of all ages, learning is accommodated through the provision of spaces that are suitable for both children and adults to altogether create a learning-conducive environment.
